Another Kind 05:11
I used to dream of running through the canopies I used to believe I was something more Back then I knew that I was special Chasing beasts across the forest's floor I was an other kind of being I was living in a fantasy I thought that I had awakened As I slipped into a new dream
3.
I hide my fear I pretend it doesn't exist It gets suppressed Under a veil of self confidence But I want to scream I want to let it all fall apart And I want to scream I want to show you how hard it is To play this role I hide my fear I tell myself it will be fine In a cold sweat My thoughts right wild through the night And I want to scream I want to let it all fall apart And I want to scream I want to show you how hard it is To play this role I want to show you that this smile is a mask that I wear That inside me there is a font overflowing with fear And I want to scream I want to let it all fall apart And I want to scream I want to show you how hard it is To play this role
4.
You sit Day by day As the sun sets for another world beyond the window and the pain Of the light you've come Far enough for one time You fight Every time you cry And deny that you Are worthy in this life You just tear off the walls and deny To touch another As you cross beyond The world becomes you As you cross beyond Apollo on your throne As you cross beyond All the hands you've held As you cross beyond Become nothing You become One with the mirror Casting shadows and calling them reflections Of the past Of tradition You're a slave To the words of the written As you fight it becomes a crime To lie in a field And just feel yourself die Only a little The world is blind As you cross beyond The great divide - your life As you cross beyond The path of the right As you cross beyond You will see yourself As you cross beyond Becoming nothing I'm just passing along Waiting for something to call my name Again I'm just crossing the line Fading from mind Crossing to anyone
5.
I want this life to mean something I want there to be a point I looked for answers in all the wrong places And there was nothing to find I step to the ledge As my screams echo of the face of the cliffs I step to the ledge And I stare out into the abyss The wind rushing by is deafening I can feel the pull of the earth below As rocks turn red and the lights go out I want to scream What Have I Done? What Have I Done?

I keep singing the same old song And I've been sing it for far too long I hope these words wouldn't find me again Spilling like poison from the tip of my pen I thought that I was happy I thought that I had escaped I thought that I could be happy But it seems this dark clouds will never clear I keep singing the same old song And I've been sing it for far too long I hope these words wouldn't find me again Spilling like poison from the tip of my pen
8.
I hear the whispers in the dark As the walls close in I feel my breath Drawing Short I can feel a heat in me A fire inside Burning away My Fear I know what I am A Speck Insignificant I know what I am And I'm the only one who can change it This is the only life you get So live it This is the only life you get There's no tomorrow There's no tomorrow I know what I am A Speck Insignificant I know what I am And I'm the only one who can change it
9.
Do you know the pain that you caused When you tore our family apart You left a whole in our hearts And that emptiness terrifies me I am awash in your blood The sins of the father become the sins of The Son And I fear I cannot escape that fate I am awash in the tears In the valley of pain that you left in your wake And I fear it will be my pain to repeat Are you even sorry For the things that you've done You tore our world apart And you left us there to rot I am awash in your blood The sins of the father become the sins of The Son And I fear I cannot escape that fate I am awash in the tears In the valley of pain that you left in your wake And I fear it will be my pain to repeat
10.
Gilded Road 05:07
Show me no mercy Show me no fear Show me the pain that I have caused you Show me no idols Show me no gods Show me the monster that I've become I tore this world asunder I destroyed all that I had gained This road is gilded with my selfishness So make my sorrow your refrain Show me no kindness Show me no care Show me that which I deserve Show me suffering Show me your hate Show me the path I was supposed to take I tore this world asunder I destroyed all that I had gained This road is gilded with my selfishness So make my sorrow your refrain
11.
Seasons 04:14
You said you'd follow me to the end When leaves change and the snow falls You said we could have anything And I wanted it all I thought the spring was so beautiful The leaves were wet and we were new How quickly things change in the summers light I knew it was to good to be true You said you'd follow me to the end The leaves are gone and so are you The wind bites at my face, I am so cold and all I wanted was... You said you'd follow me to the end When leaves change and the snow falls You said we could have anything And I wanted it all

about

In Propria Persona is the first full length album from Portland artist reakt[ion]. Blending musical influences from industrial, hip-hop, post-hardcore, and black metal, In Propria Persona represents reakt[ion]'s attempt to move even further from the harsh EBM tropes of his early releases into a sound that is both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

Press:
"Everyone . . . who ever scoffed at aggrotech as an aesthetic which quickly painted itself into a corner would do well to see what new sounds and moods reakt[ion]‘s able to retrofit from it’s acid-etched frame." - I Die: You Die
